Let’s face it: the workday is broken. The barrier between personal and professional time has dissolved, 40% of all knowledge workers get interrupted every 30 minutes, and only 53% of Americans experience meaningful social interaction each day. Remote workers have always felt these issues more keenly, and with the COVID-19 crisis, much more of the workforce finds themselves working remotely. Since March, the average workday has lengthened by 2-3 hours, and it’s becoming even clearer that something’s got to give.


But what if it didn’t have to be this way? 


That’s where we come in. Introducing Order In: work from home but not alone. Order In is a community of high-performing leaders, entrepreneurs, remote workers, and freelancers. We’re building a better workday together. 


While much of remote work is done individually, we’ve seen firsthand that when you have a crew of people on your side, cheering you on and helping you out, the workday starts to flow. When we join forces, we can begin to build a different kind of workday: one that works for real human beings, helping you prioritize what matters in your life while you do your best work.


Now, this all sounds great, I’m sure. But it’s a bit abstract, right? We've all read about plenty of theoretical solutions and productivity hacks that sound nice, but don’t actually stick. At Order In, we built our community to help you make concrete changes in your day. Our lineup of tools and experiences are rooted in behavioral science and backed by real results. Here are a few that you can join in on right away, and we’re just getting started: 

  • Individualized member onboarding that involves one-on-one guidance to ensure that you get the most out of the Order In experience

  • Follow-along workdays to help you build structure into your day
  • A packed calendar of programming on offer to help bond, inspire and learn
  • Text reminders and check-ins for events and goal-tracking


Of course, the most important benefit of Order In membership is your camaraderie with the people that you’ll meet! We have high standards for who we’re looking for: we carefully look for members who are highly effective at what they do, empathetic towards others in their communities, and driven to build a better workday together. If that describes you and the kind of people you’d like to meet, we can’t wait to introduce you to your new friends. 


Today, we’re testing our digital membership as a free beta to those working remotely. As we roll out members-only events and resources, we’re excited to expand our community and reach the people doing their best work. When it is safe to do so, we look forward to launching our members-only clubhouses and work-from-nature opportunities, allowing our community to gather and support each other in person. 


But beyond that, we’re excited about the bright future ahead of us. While there’s a lot of work to be done, we believe that one by one, we can begin to rebuild the way the workday is structured. Together, we can shift the tides and increase our happiness and productivity, leading to fuller and more complete lives.
